Can you tell us about yourself briefly?
Hello, I am a landscape photographer that lives near the Italian Dolomites and Venice. I am happy to organize tours for all the people that have some interest to visit these beautiful places, and currently I am doing personalized courses. Also I’ve been awarded in some international contests and one of my favorite picture has been exhibited in Berlin the last autumn.
Can you tell us about what you are currently working on?
I am always focused more with landscape, in February I will go at Lofoten Island alone to catch the Aurora Borealis for the first time.
What made you decide to be a professional photographer?
I’ve always loved traveling and I consider nature as my best friend. I love this and I can say that photography is a normal conseguence of my passions. I hope to live only with photography in the future, but I know that is not easy because I dedicate myself only with landscape photography. Currently I am a freelance photographer and this is not mine main job.
What’s your photographic style?
The composition is fundamental, after this I like keep the image soft especially with the tones. and in my pictures is very important the general mood. I like fog and dreaming situation.
How do you educate yourself to take better pictures?
I studied a lot especially how edit my images. But the more important thing for me, is look pictures from the others. More pictures you observe and more your eyes are trained to do better, this is my personal opinion.
What kind of gear do you use?
Camera body: Canon Eos 5D Mark IV Lens: Canon 16-35 f2.8 III, Canon 24-70 f4, Canon 70-200 f4 Filters: Nisi and Hoya Flash: no flash Mention others, if any: I use Star Adventure Mini as astro-tracker
When do you feel happy as a photographer?
I feel happy when I have stunning situation in the field and also when I am awarded in some international contest. This stimulates me.
When was the most difficult time as a photographer? How did you deal with it?
The difficult time for me was define my style. At the beginning I liked dramatic shots with a fantasy post production. Then I realized that I am not a nerd of the computer, I prefer dedicate myself more time in the field and less in front my pc. Also the tones changed, now I’m doing images more soft and colored. I thought a lot with my self and I realized that I should to do something that match with my personal character, instead to follow other people.
What was your most memorable experience in this photography field?
In Dolomites these experience happen often. Nature surprise me many many times. Basically for me all depends of the weather. The weather can change a trivial landscape and make it epic.
Where do you see yourself in five years’ time? Or What photographic ambitions would you like to achieve?
My desire is traveling e see new remote places. I think all the photographers would like have this passion as first job. In my case I want keep the fire alive day by day, and then will see what happen.
What would you say to people who would like to be professional photographers?
I think is not easy, I am not a professional now so I cannot suggest nothing.
