About The Area

Tre Cime di Lavaredo is one of the most iconic mountain destinations in the world and a true symbol of the Dolomites. Located within the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites, on the border between South Tyrol and Veneto, these legendary peaks attract visitors from across the globe who come to experience some of the most spectacular alpine scenery in Europe.

The three distinctive towers — Cima Grande, Cima Ovest and Cima Piccola — rise dramatically above the surrounding landscape, creating one of the most recognisable mountain silhouettes anywhere in the Alps. Their unique appearance, combined with breathtaking viewpoints and scenic hiking trails, has made Tre Cime di Lavaredo one of the most photographed locations in Italy.

The area offers an extraordinary combination of natural beauty, geological significance and mountain heritage. Well-maintained trails connect panoramic viewpoints, alpine meadows and historic mountain huts, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the dramatic landscapes that have inspired explorers, climbers and photographers for generations.

Beyond their natural beauty, the Tre Cime also hold an important place in European history. During the First World War, this region was part of the front line between Italy and Austria-Hungary, and traces of that history can still be discovered throughout the surrounding mountains.

Recognised as one of the highlights of the UNESCO Dolomites, Tre Cime di Lavaredo offers an unforgettable experience for hikers, photographers, nature lovers and travellers seeking to discover the very essence of the Italian Alps. Its combination of world-famous scenery, accessible mountain trails and rich cultural heritage makes it a destination that remains unforgettable long after the journey has ended.
