08-18 April 2021 – CANCELED FOR COVID-19!
Come join us as we venture back down to the end of the world!
April is the perfect time to visit this awe-inspiring region. Autumn is in full swing and mother nature puts on a colorful show for those lucky enough to witness it.
Patagonia is a wild place in every sense of the word. This part of the world is full of unique wildlife and spectacular hiking trails, not to mention being home to some of the most beautiful mountains on the planet!
This trip will take place in both Patagonia Chile and Argentina and will be a mixture of hotels and camping. Neil has spent the past few years exploring this region and we can’t wait to show you the best locations to shoot in both Torres Del Paine and Los Glaciares National Park. This will truly be an experience of a lifetime!
TRAVEL PLAN ⇓
DAY 1 (8th April) – Arrival Day
We will arrive at El Calafate Airport (FTE) and stay in El Calafate for the night. We will provide pickups from the airport to the hotel. Once everywhere has arrived and checked-in, we will head out into town for some conversation and a dinner, as we discuss the next days and of course, photography!

DAYS 2 THRU 5 (9th – 12th April)
And now the real fun begins! The 10th will be a travel day as we cross the border and make our way into Chile, where we will be spending the next few days exploring. Once we enter Torres Del Paine, we will check-in to our accommodation, and head out for a sunset. Days 10 and 11 will be spent chasing sunrises and sunsets in other-worldly locations. Additionally, we will take part in a 4 hour boat tour of Glacier Grey during one afternoon to get up close to and personal with the glacier! Some other areas that we will visit include: Multiple viewpoints of Los Cuernos, Lake Pehoe, Salto Grande Waterfall, and more.
On the 12th we will grab one last sunrise before making our way back into Argentina.
After we cross the border, we will head to the iconic “Perito Moreno Glacier” for an evening shoot. This ice field is 30km (19miles) in length and at the front end is 74 meters (240ft) high above the surface of the water. Unlike other glaciers, this one is actually still advancing! This will be a perfect time to get out your telephoto lenses and get up close and personal with some ice shards!
After an evening at Perito Moreno, we will drive back to El Calafate, where we will stay the night.

DAYS 6 & 10 (13th-17th April)
We will set out in the morning to El Chalten, which will be our base for the next 4 nights. El Chalten is known as “The Trekking Capital of Argentina”, and is the starting point for the Mt. Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre hikes. (Each trail is roughly between 8-9km each way) We will then meet up with our local guide and discuss the next few days in the park. The itinerary for this part of the tour will be dependent on the weather. Ideally, the plan is to spend 2 nights at the campsite near Cerro Torre and another 2 nights camped out near Mt. Fitz Roy. Here we can enjoy the park fully and explore many different viewpoints and compositions of two of the most beautiful mountains on the planet! You can also expect to see cascades, a waterfall, and glaciers over the next few days, and perhaps some wildlife!
After a sunrise on the 17th, we will make our way back to El Calafate for one last night. Over dinner we will officially conclude the workshop and discuss the trip, Patagonia, and share some laughs!
*Although we plan to camp for this part of the trip, we have a few apartments booked for this period, which can be used for gear storage, showers, and a place to stay in case of bad weather*
